The Weicht Funeral Home has been owned and operated by 6 generations of the Weicht Family, stretching back to 1854.

Leopold E. Weicht immigrated to the United States from Baden, Germany in 1854, and founded the L.E. Weicht & Son Funeral Home, which was also known as Weicht's Undertaking Establishment. By the end of the 19th Century his son, Henry Weicht joined his father to run the business along with the Angola Casket Company.

Henry was followed in the family business by his son Paul J. Weicht. By the 1930's Paul was joined by his son, Joseph Henry Weicht.

Paul E. "Gene" Weicht at the age of 16, along with his mother Olive E. Weicht, got involved in 1956 when Gene’s father, Joseph Henry, passed away.

The business is currently owned and operated by Paul E. "Gene" Weicht, his wife Susan, and their children John J. Weicht and Beth Weicht Lee who are the fifth and sixth generations of the family. Christopher J. Burton, Funeral Director, and Jim Hulbert, Family and After Care Counselor complete the funeral home family.

The Weicht family still owns and operates the Weicht Funeral Home with dignity, courtesy and respect, as they have done for over 155 years.

Weicht Funeral Home is proud to offer Life Tribute Memorial Videos. Life Tribute Memorial Videos allow the family of a deceased to have a motion picture quality video depicting the life of a loved one.

The memorial video combines the ambiance of nature and its serenity with peaceful music and photos to truly memorialize the memories of a lifetime.

A Life Tribute Video can be created to be a part of a funeral service or can be done months or years later as a lasting memorial.
